Off Excel, into WhatsApp—hours back in the field.
A property team was recording stock in Excel after returning from the field. Information collected on site became another round of desk work at the end of the day.
The workflow now begins where the work happens: in WhatsApp, while the team is still on site.
Move the record closer to the work
The team can log stock through a chat instead of waiting to type the same information into a spreadsheet later. That shortens the distance between observing a change and recording it.
Excel no longer has to be the input screen. The operational record can still stay structured while the field team uses a familiar channel.
What changed
- Stock is logged from the site: The update happens while the context is still in front of the team.
- Night-time spreadsheet entry is removed: Hours move back from administration to field work.
The improvement is simple but material: capture information once, at the point of work, and remove the second shift of typing it again.
