iClassPro Missing Features: 5 Gaps for Singapore Studios

iClassPro missing features for Singapore class businesses, per its October 2026 pages: no WhatsApp, no published Singapore texting rates, no PayNow mention, no Xero sync, and a parent inbox only staff can answer. None justifies switching. The fix is to keep iClassPro and fill only the gap that costs time.

To show where those gaps bite, follow one centre through one week. It is a composite, not a client: a typical enrichment centre in Singapore with one location, a small front desk and parents who would rather message than call. Every fact about iClassPro below comes from iClassPro’s own website, help centre, pricing page or App Store listing as of October 2026. The centre and its week are an illustration.

A good system, built in Texas

Start with what the centre has, because it is a lot. iClassPro is a US company based in Longview, Texas, built for gymnastics, cheer, swim and dance programmes, and its pricing page lists the same core on every plan: class and event booking, punch passes, attendance and a check-in kiosk mode, makeup tokens, skill tracking and student evaluations, online waivers and policies, point of sale with inventory, a staff portal and a staff time clock.

Its Leads page tracks enquiries by stage and shows an AI-generated summary and suggested next step for each lead. Autopilot workflows send reminders and follow-ups, and can offer open places to waitlisted students for classes that have already started.

It also works outside the US. Its help centre names Singapore among the countries with currency and address support, so statements and receipts can show SGD and local addresses, and the parent app is listed on the Singapore App Store. Plans are priced in US dollars per location. None of what follows is a reason to leave. The centre’s problem is not the class record; it is everything that happens around it.

Monday: the WhatsApp backlog

The week opens the way most do. Over the weekend, parents have messaged the centre’s WhatsApp about a missed lesson, a holiday makeup, a fee question and a trial booking for a younger sibling. None of that is in iClassPro. Its communications page lists email, two-way SMS texting and push notifications to the iClassPro app or a branded app, and its help centre has no article on WhatsApp.

So the front desk does the same thing every Monday morning: read the chat on a shared phone, open iClassPro, find the family, check the class list, type the answer back into WhatsApp. The answer is right, but the conversation lives on a phone with no link to the family record, and the next staff member has to scroll to find out what was promised.

The owner did look at texting instead, since iClassPro’s SMS inbox keeps every message against the family record and marks each thread open or closed. The catch is local: texting rates are published for the US and Canada, Australia, the UK and New Zealand, and every other country is told to contact iClassPro for availability and pricing. Self-signup for texting is US only.

Wednesday: PayNow, logged by hand

By midweek the term fees are coming in, and most of them arrive by PayNow straight into the centre’s bank account. iClassPro’s help centre does not mention PayNow. Its own gateway and merchant service is offered only in the US; international accounts may need a separate gateway, Stripe is available in “select countries”, and card terminals are not supported for international clients.

What the centre can do, and does, is use the payment-method settings. Alongside card, e-check, cash and cheque, iClassPro lets you name a custom payment type, so “PayNow” becomes a method staff can record on the family ledger. The ledger stays right. The work is the matching: someone opens the bank app, finds each transfer, works out which family sent it and posts it. On a quiet week that is fine. In fee week it is an afternoon.

Friday: the export the accountant waits for

The centre’s accountant uses Xero. iClassPro’s only built-in accounting link on its help centre is QuickBooks Online, which syncs charges, payments and credits daily or on demand. There is no Xero article.

So Friday ends with an export. iClassPro’s financial reports download to CSV or Excel, and the bookkeeper posts them into Xero by hand. It works, as long as the PayNow entries from Wednesday were all logged, which is exactly where the errors creep in.

Saturday afternoon, with no one to call

Saturday is the busiest day on the timetable and the hardest for support. iClassPro’s FAQ gives support numbers for the US and Canada, Australia, the UK and an international line, and notes that all support follows US business hours, in English. Live hours are published in US Central time. That gives a Singapore centre cover on weekday mornings, but Saturday and Sunday afternoons in Singapore fall outside them.

The parent questions do not stop either. What time is Level 3, is there space on Saturday, did my transfer go through. Autopilot handles the messages it was set up to send, but two-way texts land in a staff inbox, event waitlists are still managed by hand, and WhatsApp is not connected at all. Whoever is on the desk answers between classes.

The week the owner counted

The change did not start with software. It started with a log. For two normal weeks the owner wrote down how many parent messages arrived outside iClassPro and how long each took, how many PayNow transfers needed matching, and how long month-end took the accountant.

Then came the cheap fixes, in order. First, use what iClassPro already does: Autopilot reminders, automated waitlist offers, makeup tokens and a push to get parents onto the app. Second, ask iClassPro support directly whether Singapore SMS numbers and a supported card gateway such as Stripe are available for the account, since its own pages say to contact them. Third, check for a ready connector before planning around one; iClassPro’s help centre has no Zapier article.

Only what was left after that got an add-on. For this centre, the log pointed at two things: the evening and weekend WhatsApp questions, and the PayNow matching in fee week.

After: same system, quieter desk

The centre kept iClassPro as the class record. What changed was the edge around it. A WhatsApp assistant now answers the routine questions from the centre’s own timetable and policies, collects the details for a makeup, transfer or trial, and hands each request to staff, who approve it and enter it in iClassPro. A small workflow matches incoming PayNow transfers to outstanding balances and leaves only the unclear ones for a person to confirm, and payment summaries go to Xero for the bookkeeper to review instead of being rebuilt from an export.

Anything that changes money or a child’s placement still goes through a person: refunds, coach changes, an unhappy parent. That is where hiring makes sense. Software takes the repeated look-ups and copying.

There is a real-world version of this pattern, in a different business. Rosalie, a food business, runs its orders through WhatsApp the same way, and its published case study, Rosalie: WhatsApp Order Automation, Replies Under 30 Seconds, reports every customer answered in under 30 seconds and two hours of admin saved each day, with the team approving exceptions. Those are Rosalie’s results for orders, not a forecast for a class business.

Is an add-on cheaper than more front-desk hours?

Only your own log can say. Compare the hours it shows with the cost of an add-on, its setup, staff training and someone checking it. A single-location centre with a few dozen messages a day may find a shared WhatsApp Business account with saved replies for fees, timetables and makeup rules is enough. The case for more grows when the same questions arrive every evening and weekend, or PayNow and Xero take hours a month.

And if several core needs fail in a real trial, such as payments you cannot take at all, that is a different conversation. Decide it with real classes and parents, not because one peripheral feature is missing.

Biks customer operations work starts from that same log and the exact point where staff approve, so iClassPro stays the class record and nothing is paid for twice.

Common questions

What features is iClassPro missing for Singapore class businesses?
As of October 2026, iClassPro’s own pages show no WhatsApp messaging, no published texting rates for Singapore, no mention of PayNow and no Xero integration, and its texting inbox is answered by staff. Its payment service and card terminals are documented for the US. A Singapore school can keep iClassPro for classes and fill one gap at a time.
Does iClassPro work in Singapore?
Yes. iClassPro’s help centre lists Singapore among the countries with currency and address support, and its parent app is on the Singapore App Store. It is a US company: support is in English on US business hours, plans are priced in US dollars per location, and texting and payment setup for Singapore go through its support team.
Does iClassPro support WhatsApp?
iClassPro’s communications page lists email, two-way SMS texting and push notifications to its app, and its help centre has no WhatsApp article as of October 2026. Singapore schools usually run WhatsApp separately, with a shared WhatsApp Business account or a WhatsApp add-on that answers routine questions and hands requests to staff.
Can iClassPro take PayNow payments?
iClassPro’s help centre does not mention PayNow as of October 2026. It supports card payments through a gateway, and lets staff record other payments under a custom payment type. A school can log PayNow transfers that way, then match them against the bank by hand or with a small workflow.
Does iClassPro integrate with Xero?
iClassPro’s help centre documents a QuickBooks Online integration and no Xero integration as of October 2026. A Xero user can export iClassPro financial reports to CSV or Excel for the bookkeeper, or add a small sync that posts payment summaries to Xero for review.
